Celebrate America's 250th anniversary with this 2026-D Emerging Liberty Dime, an official United States Mint coin featuring a special one-year design commemorating the nation's Semiquincentennial.
Struck at the Denver Mint with the recognizable "D" mint mark, this uncirculated dime features the historic dual date 1776–2026 and comes housed in a protective slab-style display holder.
A Historic New Liberty Design
For the first time since 1945, Liberty returns to the obverse of the American dime, temporarily replacing the familiar portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
The obverse features a determined Lady Liberty with windswept hair and a distinctive liberty cap decorated with stars and stripes. The design symbolizes the American Revolution, the nation's founding principles, and the continuing pursuit of independence.
Inscriptions include "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "1776 ~ 2026."
The reverse depicts an eagle in flight clutching arrows in its talons, representing the struggle for American independence.
Reverse inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "ONE DIME," and "LIBERTY OVER TYRANNY."

Historical Significance
The United States Mint introduced the Emerging Liberty dime as part of the nation's Semiquincentennial Coin Program, commemorating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.
The 2026 design marks a temporary departure from the Roosevelt dime, which began production in 1946. The familiar Roosevelt design is scheduled to return in 2027.
This makes the Emerging Liberty dime a distinctive addition to collections documenting important changes in American coinage.
