Celebrate 250 years of American independence with this 2026-P Emerging Liberty Dime, an official United States Mint coin featuring a special one-year design commemorating America's Semiquincentennial.

Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with the "P" mint mark, this uncirculated dime features the historic 1776–2026 dual date and comes housed in a protective slab-style display holder.

A Historic Liberty Design

For 2026, the United States Mint temporarily replaced President Franklin D. Roosevelt's familiar portrait with a new image of Liberty, marking the first appearance of Liberty on the obverse of the dime since 1945.

The obverse depicts a determined Lady Liberty with windswept hair and a liberty cap adorned with stars and stripes. The design represents the American Revolution and the nation's founding ideals.

Obverse inscriptions include:

  • LIBERTY

  • IN GOD WE TRUST

  • 1776 ~ 2026

The reverse features an eagle in flight carrying arrows in its talons, symbolizing the colonists' struggle for independence.

Reverse inscriptions include:

  • UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • E PLURIBUS UNUM

  • ONE DIME

  • LIBERTY OVER TYRANNY

This distinctive coin is a great addition to modern U.S. coin collections, patriotic displays, and complete 2026 Semiquincentennial coin sets.

Historical Significance

The 2026 Emerging Liberty Dime was introduced as part of the United States Mint's Semiquincentennial Coin Program, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

The special design temporarily replaces the Roosevelt dime, which has been issued since 1946. The Roosevelt design is scheduled to return in 2027.

The combination of the 1776–2026 dual date, Philadelphia Mint mark, and distinctive Liberty artwork makes this an attractive keepsake commemorating an important milestone in American history.
